Foodie Friday: 3 Kid-Approved Summer Snacks

Summer is a time for healthy and easy snacks. 

Here are a few snack ideas that everyone will love, and the kids can make themselves (or with an adult’s help)

Classic Celery Logs
  1. Cut celery into bite-size sticks.
  2. Fill them with peanut butter.
  3. Add raisins on top.

Frosty Float Drink
  1. Mix 1 cup of strawberries with 1 cup of low-fat milk.
  2. Add 2 cups of frozen yogurt and 8 oz. of chopped pineapple.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Drink right away (so it doesn't melt!)

Creamy Spinach Dip
  1. Thaw 10 oz. of frozen spinach and squeeze dry.
  2. Mix with 12 oz. low-fat cottage cheese, 1/4 cup dry vegetable soup mix and 1/2 cup fat-free sour cream.
  3. Chill before serving. 
  4. Serve with toasted pita bread.
