3 Ways To Cut Calories And Boost Your Nutrition Today

Looking for some quick nutrition tips for your health? Try this advice from the Gwinnett Medical Center Diabetes & Nutrition Education Center:

1.  Reduce your calorie intake by ordering water, unsweetened tea or diet soda. A large regular soda or sweet tea has 200 to 300 calories.

2.  Ask for condiments to be served on the side so you can add only as much salad dressing, mayo, butter, sour cream, creamy sauce and gravy as you want. This can save you 100 to 300 calories or more. Choose fat-free or low-fat when you can.

3.  Have a sensible, healthy breakfast. Try whole-grain cereal topped with sliced banana and yogurt, a bran muffin and yogurt topped with berries, or peanut butter or hummus on whole-wheat toast and milk.
